Intensive Support Hub
with Lotus Care Services Ltd
Every individual deserves to be understood. Our Intensive Support Hub is a specialist 12-week programme supporting people with complex needs across Burton-on-Trent, Swadlincote, and surrounding areas—working with families and professionals to create a clear path towards greater independence.
A place where challenges are understood and progress feels possible.

Transforming support and changing lives
At Lotus Care Services, we believe that every individual—no matter how complex their needs—deserves the opportunity to thrive. That’s why we’ve developed our Intensive Support Hub (ISH), a unique 12-week assessment and intervention programme designed to unlock potential, reduce barriers, and pave the way for more independent and fulfilling lives.
Why we created the Intensive Support Hub
Across the UK, there’s an increasing need for specialist environments where people with complex learning disabilities and associated behaviours that challenge can receive focused, expert-led support.
The ISH was built in response to this demand—offering a safe, structured, and innovative space where individuals can be truly understood. Our approach is person-centred, evidence-led, and rooted in best practice. We align with Transforming Care principles, ensuring every person we support is treated with dignity, respect, and ambition for their future.
Our vision and purpose
The ISH is more than a placement—it’s a pathway. Over 12 weeks, we work closely with each individual, their families, and their wider support networks to:
Understand behaviours deeply through functional behaviour assessments
Develop personalised Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans
Create bespoke communication systems, such as PECS or Makaton folders
Build detailed risk assessments and support strategies
Map a clear, achievable route toward less intensive and more community-focused support

What makes the ISH different?
Our team is highly trained and highly passionate—bringing together expertise in PBS, communication, and ethical behaviour management strategies. Every member of our team is trained in:
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
Specialist communication methods including Makaton and PECS
NAPPI UK techniques for safe, respectful, non-abusive interventions

Why the Intensive Support Hub works
The ISH is designed to remove the guesswork from complex support. Instead of making assumptions, we use real-world evidence, collaborative planning, and tried-and-tested strategies to ensure the next step in someone’s journey is not only safe—but set up for success.
-
For families, it means reassurance and clarity
-
For commissioners, it means measurable progress and cost-effective planning
-
For the individual, it means opportunity, dignity, and a future full of possibility
